God is with us – he promises his presence with us at all times. And he proves this by saving his people. For the Israelites the parting of the River Jordan echoed back to the parting of the Red Sea. For Christians today, we look back at the cross – the proof that God will be with his people.

Applications for us are to teach this message to the next generation, and to take this hope out to the nations.
