God is the God second chances (and third and fourth chances!). After shock defeat at Ai, now God promises to deliver his people. We see why we can be confidence and not discourages – choosing courage over fear, and choosing the blessed life in Christ over curse without him.

We also deal with the tricky question about whether the Israelites committed genocide and how we ought to apply these passages today.
